Dr.Adina Sheikh-Sajjad

Dr.Adina Sheikh-Sajjad

Dr. Adina Sheikh-Sajjad is a Consultant Paediatrician at Aga Khan University Hospital and a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH). She also holds a diploma in Health Professions Education (HPE). With a focus on community paediatrics, Dr. Sheikh-Sajjad has a particular interest in school health. She has led health screening initiatives and introduced curricular improvements at the Dream Model Street School and the Society for the Rehabilitation of Special Children (SRSC) in Karachi, serving as their health expert. She conceptualised the School Health Services at AKU, which offers free physical and mental health screenings to students in schools in underprivileged communities of Karachi. In addition, she plays an active role in AKU’s Child Protection Services, working to raise awareness and educate the broader community about child abuse and neglect. A dedicated mentor, Dr. Sheikh-Sajjad was part of the founding team behind AKU’s mentorship program for medical students. She has served as a student mentor and career counselor for over 20 years.
